Tips for a smooth registration process
HOW TO REGISTER A GROUP
If you register as a group, you must pay with a single credit card. To begin, enter the group leader's email address, password, registration level, and personal information when prompted. Then select which events the group leader wants to attend. At the bottom of the event selections page, select "Add another person."
If the second person in your group wants to attend all the same events as the first person, enter the second person's email and registration level, fill out their personal information, and then on the next page with the event selections, select the group leader's name under "Apply the same responses as:" and the system will automatically select the same events the group leader chose, as long as those events have space.
IMPORTANT: If you select "Apply the same responses as:" on the contact information page instead, the second person will not be signed up for any events. You must select "Apply the same responses as:" on the agenda items page for the second person to be registered for the same events.
Be sure to closely check the confirmation email for each person in your group (see below, confirming your registration), because the system will not alert you if group members are not signed up for all of the same events.
DEMOCRACY IN ACTION
When you reach the payment screen, your event selections are held for you until you complete the payment process. Take time to click the name of each person in your group to verify their event selections. The Mono Basin Bird Chautauqua is a very popular event and many field trips will fill to capacity within minutes of registration opening.
In the event that you are registering two people at the same time and a field trip reaches full capacity after the first person's registration is entered, but before the second person's registration is entered, please do not panic or despair. Simply complete your registration without that particular field trip and then email us or call (760) 647-6595 and we will work with you to remedy the situation to the best of our abilities. If a particular field trip is already full when you begin your registration, please select an alternate field trip instead.
CONFIRM YOUR REGISTRATION
After registering, you will also be sent a confirmation email for each person in your group. Once you have carefully reviewed each itinerary, click "Confirm My Registration" for each person. If there is a problem with your registration, please email us or call (760) 647-6595.
Registration will begin at 6:30am PDT on Saturday, April 15, 2017. The most common problem people encounter is that they can't see the link to the registration site (above, on this page). If you don't see a link to register, make sure you force refresh your browser. For Windows users this is CTRL + F5 (F5 button at top of keyboard). For MAC users this is APPLE + R or COMMAND + R.
If you cancel by May 26, 2017 we will refund your registration less a $15 processing fee per registration. Sorry, no refunds after that date. To cancel, please call (760) 647-6595.
