Register on the secure site for the events you wish to participate in along with your complete contact and payment information. You will be registered for the events of your choice based on availability. We recommend planning your first and alternate choices in advance before following a link to our secure site. Registering online is faster, easier, and quickly confirms your spots.


Registration will begin at 6:30am PDT on Friday, April 15. The most common problem people encounter is that they can't see the link to the registration site (above, on this page). If you don't see a link to register, make sure you force refresh your browser cache. For Windows users this is CTRL + F5 (F5 button at top of keyboard). For MAC users this is APPLE + R or COMMAND + R.

Enter the group leader’s email address, password, registration level, and contact information when prompted. Then select which events the group leader wants to register to attend. At the bottom of the agenda page, select Add another person. If the second person in your group wants to attend all the same events as the first person, re-enter the group leader’s email and then select the group leader’s name under Apply the same responses as: and the system will automatically select the same events the group leader chose. IMPORTANT: If the second person in your group does not want to attend all the same events as the group leader, enter a distinct email address for the second person and select new events for them according to what they want. To register a group, you must pay with a single credit card.


If you don't check in you may lose your spot. On Thursday, June 16 you will be able to check in at the Mono Lake Committee Information Center & Bookstore from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. On Friday and Saturday the check-in area will be located at the Lee Vining Community Center beginning at 6:00am.Walk-in registration will be offered concurrently with check-in throughout the event.


If you cancel by May 27, 2016 we will refund your registration less a $15 processing fee per registration. Sorry, no refunds after that date. To cancel, please call 760.647.6595.


The Mono Basin Bird Chautauqua is a very popular event. Many field trips will fill to capacity within minutes of registration opening. In the event that you are registering two or more people at the same time and a field trip reaches full capacity after the first person's registration is entered, but before the second person's registration is submitted, please do not panic or despair. Simply complete your registration without that particular field trip and then contact us at by email or by calling (760) 647-6595 and we will work with you to remedy the situation to your satisfaction. In most cases we are able to include the second person in their desired field trip (no guarantees). However, if a particular field trip is already full when you begin your registration, please select your second choice field trip instead.
