David Wimpfheimer (he/him) David Wimpfheimer worked for the Mono Lake Committee in the mid-1980s, accomplishing a variety of educational, development and promotional objectives. On eleven 350-mile fundraising Bike-A-Thons pedaling from Los Angeles to Mono Lake, he was known to pedal off-course to pursue birds and bird habitats. As a professional nature guide, David educates and interprets all aspects of the environment. For almost 40 years, David has led tours and taught classes for organizations such as the Smithsonian Institution, Point Reyes Field Institute, Mono Lake Committee, Oceanic Society, Road Scholar, and Wild Wings.
