Presenter Details

Kayla Henry (she/her) Kayla Henry has been with the Great Basin Bird Observatory since 2016 on the Nevada Bird Count and is currently a Project Coordinator for Pinyon Jay monitoring programs and the Crescent Dunes solar energy project. She also assists with coordinating GBBO’s public outreach program, which includes managing social media outlets and planning events. Kayla grew up in California and earned a degree in Environmental Studies from California State University, Sacramento, where she worked on developing avian survey protocols for a local restoration project, focusing on birds as an indicator species to measure the project’s success.
