Sarah Stock (she/her)

Sarah Stock (she/her) Sarah Stock is the wildlife ecologist for Yosemite National Park, where she has overseen the program for land-animal biodiversity since 2006. Early in her career as a field ornithologist, she explored bird populations in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, and the South Pacific. She earned her graduate degree at the University of Idaho with a research focus on the migration ecology of forest owls. In Yosemite, in addition to birds, Sarah studies bats, fishers, bighorn sheep, and Sierra Nevada red foxes. She lives in Yosemite Valley where she enjoys birding, scrambling on steep cliffs, and naturalizing.
