This talk will feature stories from research on a variety of shorebird species, ranging in topic from migration to breeding behavior to annual cycles to evolution and speciation. Jessica will also discuss the unusual mating system of two familiar Mono Lake species, the Spotted Sandpiper and Wilson's Phalarope, including highlights from her own research on reproductive behavior of Spotted Sandpipers in the Mono Basin.
