Event Details

Join Andie in her ForestSong art project and paint forest prayer flags beneath the trees in Lundy Canyon. She will share a step-by-step process using ink and wildfire charcoal to effectively address our solastalgia—that particular emotional pain produced by environmental degradation in places we experience as home and/or as beloved. We’ll also invite biophilia—that rich human pleasure that comes from being surrounded by living organisms—into the process. Bring snacks and water. Also, please bring the following art supplies: black pen, pencil, and a notebook or field journal. In addition to the materials that you bring, the instructor will provide other specialized supplies which are included in the $15 materials fee for this event.
