421 Birding DeChambeau Ponds
Freshwater sources are scarce in the Mono Basin. Small ponds, springs, and even roadside puddles serve as localized oases in the vast sea of sagebrush. On this outing, participants will explore DeChambeau Ponds, one of the most productive hotspots along Mono Lake’s north shore. The trip will also include a stop at DeChambeau Ranch, a former ranch turned wildlife sanctuary. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for waterbirds, breeding songbirds, and sagebrush specialists alike.
